Sample Prayers, Days 320-329
Day 320 Our Father in heaven, we rejoice in your Spirit and praise you for his presence in us because you saved us through Jesus.
Thank you for the insights into the work and person of the Holy Spirit today. Use us as we work in cooperation with him to lead others into your kingdom and fulfill your will.
Please provide our needs today, and especially courage to follow his leading.
Forgive us for not obeying your Word (the Bible), following our own path, and grieving the Holy Spirit. Please help us forgive others because we have been forgiven, and because your Spirit is within us.
Lead us away from the temptation to follow our own ways. Instead, may we watch for your leading and join your work. Help us to resist the devil when he opposes us. May we live to your pleasures, not our own. In Jesus' name and for his sake, Amen
Day 323 Father in heaven, you are holy. Thank you for choosing us and sacrificing your son to establish a relationship with you, our mighty God. May your kingdom come and may we read and obey your will.
For our daily bread, please help us desire a deep, meaningful, loving relationship with you, instead of us thinking we're righteous because we obey church rules. Speak to our hearts and help us obey.
Forgive us of our sins for not sharing the gospel and please help us forgive others who might hinder us.
Lead us away from the temptation to be rule keepers instead of humbly obeying your word because we love you. May we be aware of spiritual pride and not give the devil quarter. In Jesus’ name and for his sake, amen.
Day 327 Dear Father in heaven, Thank you for choosing us to be in your family, and thank you for the Word of God. May people be drawn to you when they see how we handle adversity. You are our guide.
Nourish us through your word and help us become more like your Son.
Forgive our unfaithfulness, and teach us to forgive others.
Lead us away from the temptation to abandon you when we’re persecuted. Help us endure all things for your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Dear Father in heaven, thank you for seeing us in our distress and for caring. We love you and worship you. You are worthy of anything we might suffer, for your Son suffered for us so we might be clean before you and enter your presence.
May the way we respond to suffering draw others to come into your kingdom and do your will.
Lord, for our daily bread we pray you will give us the strength to endure.
Forgive me for my sin if I have added to other's distress. Help me to forgive others for causing me the same.
Lead me away from the temptation to quit or not accept persecutions I am to endure. May I live to the praise of your glory and entrust my soul to you. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen.
Day 329 Dear Father in heaven, you are the great warrior and defender of our faith. You are the Almighty God. Praise your name!
May your kingdom come and your will be done here as in heaven, and may your people see your great works. Give us courage and wisdom to fight the devil and strength as our daily bread.
Forgive our sins of giving into the evil of our culture and giving into Satan's lies and vices. Help us to forgive others who hurt us or disappoint us. Please break through barriers which destroy our relationships with family and friends.
May we not give the devil a foothold in our lives. May we not be led astray and become deceived by him. For your sake and glory we pray in Jesus' name, Amen.
