Day 279 Dear Father in heaven, Jesus acted and told us to act with extreme grace. You are holy but we aren't. Help us to act like kingdom people so others may come to you for salvation and be encouraged to follow your will. Help us to do your will, too, Lord.

For our daily bread, we need your Spirit to help us act in grace when we are persecuted, mocked, or suffer physical pain because of our faith in you. Please help us to endure for your name's sake . Forgive us for not doing this and getting angry when we're mistreated. Help us to forgive our enemies and all who hurt us in word or deed.

Lead us away from the temptation to seek revenge, defend ourselves, or trade insult for insult. May we be wary of the devil and his devices in the moment. May we live to the praise of your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray, amen.
