Sample Prayers, Days 140-151
Dear Father in heaven, may your name be praised for your holiness and the peace we can have by being a part of your family. May the way we act in our homes demonstrate the grace you show us so others might want to be saved and in your kingdom. May we delight to do your will as a wife to her husband.
Give us perseverance in our homes to bear all things and believe all things for the unity of our home. Forgive us for the times we have not believed and for finding faults. Help us to forgive others for their sins.
Lead us not into the temptation to just want our own way but live in consideration of one another. Remember the devil wants to kill and destroy. May we live to the glory of your name. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Dear Father in heaven, you are worthy of all dedication and praise. You are holy and righteous and good. We praise your wonderful name.
May more be added to your kingdom and your will be done as we are faithful and responsible in what or who you have given to us.
Lord, for our daily bread, please meet our physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and may we have the bravery and tenacity to be testimonies of your grace.
Forgive us for not being responsible for the things or people we dedicate to you. Help us forgive others who don't follow up on their responsibilities to us.
The devil will try to stop us, so please help us. Lead us to keep your word and not be negligent or easily distracted.
In Jesus' name, we pray, Amen.
For the glory
Day 144 Dear LORD, you are the author of all wisdom and you allow many to prosper and produce wealth to share. May many people come to know you by observing how we live our Christianity; may they want you, God to forgive them, give them wisdom, and help them to be generous. Fulfill you will, Lord.
Give us the daily bread of encouragement to rely totally on you. You are the God of wisdom and grace.
Forgive our many sins of selfishness and move us to compassion for our family members, friends, and neighbors. Help us forgive others for their attitudes and using us.
Help us not let not bitterness or jealousy take over our lives, but many we serve you with whatever resources we have. For Jesus name and your glory we pray, Amen
Day 145 Dear Father in heaven, thank you for giving us a book of wisdom, and for teaching us how to fear (reverence) you, our most holy God. Praise your wonderful name. May we live like your children and behave with wisdom to please our heavenly Father, for we have been bought with a price, the price of your Son. May we be diligent to know and obey your will so your perfect will can be accomplished in us.
For our daily bread, please meet our physical and emotional needs. Also, give us teachable hearts so we might receive wisdom and act with prudence, justice, righteousness, and integrity.
Forgive us for any arrogance and any lustful spirit or any foolishness which works against wisdom. May we remember the good things our parents and good christian leaders taught us. Help us to forgive the foolishness and impudence of others, for we were once the same. Cleanse our hearts, Lord.
Help us not to give in to the devil or his schemes when faced with life challenges. Help us have faith in you, our Lord and Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray for his glory, Amen.
Day 146 Dear Father in heaven, may your name be praised!. May more people be drawn to your kingdom because we honor our spouses and live in love for them. May we live and love our spouses as ourselves, be sacrificial, faithful and thankful always as your word leads us.
For our daily bread, please give us ideas how we can show our love and appreciation for each other and be an example to our children, grandchildren and others in the community.
Forgive me for taking my wife for granted and not showing compassion. Help me to forgive any unkindness from my mate, and may we have a God-blessed marriage free from the devil's vices.
Day 147 Dear Father in heaven, you are the father of all wisdom. In you are light, goodness, life, and peace. Thank you for the warning about turning away from foolishness and evil which lead to death, and turning to you, the God of all wisdom.
In you we find a banquette table, not stolen food that leads to shame and destruction. May our choices be an example that will draw others into your kingdom. Please give us your wisdom for our daily bread.
Forgive us for seeking after our own desires. And, help us to forgive others of their failings.
May we not give into the short-lived pleasures of this earth in trade for your pleasure and glory. May we recognize the devil and his vices. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen
Day 148 Dear Father, praise your name because you are right, just, and holy. May your kingdom come as I speak what is right and kind and just and show concern for others. Give me his day a daily bread of patience and perseverance in walking with humility. Cleanse my soul from sin, pride and arrogance. May I not react to the accusations of others but walk in humility and the wisdom to keep my mouth shut when I can't say something good. Help me to forgive others even when they won't admit their sins. May you convince their hearts, and help me not get embittered or think I am better than the next. May we be wary of Satan's will to divide and destroy us. Help us remember we are all on the same team. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Day 149 Dear Father in heaven, you deserve all the glory and praise for who you are. You're not arrogant and filled with pride. You are honest and good. You love us and even serve us your creation, and yes even when we are like fools. May your kingdom grow as others seek you as we have--in humility and truth. May your will be done as we obey you. Please provide our needs, especially the need to walk in humility and the fear of the LORD. Forgive our sins of pride and foolishness. Help us to forgive others of the same.Lead us away from the temptations to be filled with arrogance and selfishness like the devil. Thank you for your Son, Jesus and his humility. May we fear the Lord and work for the praise of your glory. In Jesus's name, amen.
Day 150 Our most gracious heavenly Father, you are holy and righteous in every way. Praise your name! May more people come into your kingdom as they see us do your will honestly and blamelessly according to your standards.
For our daily bread, please convict and convince us that your way is best. We don't need to bribe our way in this life.
Forgive us for the times we've operated in our strength instead of trusting you through the fires of adversity. You are melting and shaping us. Sometimes, it takes a hot fire to accomplish it.
Help us forgive others who abandon us when the fires are hot, or trade honest dealings with us for dishonest gain.
Lead us away from the temptations to be bribed or not act with honesty. Help us remember not to listen to Satan but to you, our LORD and Savior. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen
Day 151 Dear LORD, thank you for the gift of work to exercise our bodies, minds, and creativity. You are the great creator and think what is the best for us. Praise your name.
May your kingdom come as we work for you, making you known through our words and deeds. Knowing that tough times may come, we are sticking with you. I pray to read and follow your words as I read the Bible. I pray the Holy Spirit will teach me and lead me to follow your will.
Please supply all my needs, including a willing spirit to work.
Forgive me for my inconsistency with your Word. Help me to forgive others who are unkind and judge me.
Lead me away from the devil's traps of idleness, slothfulness, and gossip. May you be praised for my words and deeds. In Jesus name, Amen.
